2025 Collection: Thought-provoking oil paintings in monochromatic "BLACK SERIES " "COLOURS SERIES" deep hues and chroma in encaustic.
As clouds and horizon merge into colourful abstract forms and disappear into oneness along the North Sea coastline, Anita Niegsch captures the feeling of movement, play of light and colours through her stunning artworks. These wonderful moments are translated into unique paintings using extremely high-quality self-made encaustic mediums or from the finest grades of oil paints. |
"Different styles, different mediums and different themes" - this is a feedback I often get from visitors to my atelier and this is exactly what my art is about.
Painting primarily in oils and self-made encaustic medium, one thing that is constant is that I paint in layers. Analysing old masters and abstract expressionism painting methods and challenging myself to take it a step further with modern materials interests me the most. Having worked in the travel industry for over 27 years and travelled to a lot of different countries I have always found far-flung places, instances, colours, scenery, various art forms and people that have left an impression on my mind. These little impressions are the core of the different themes that my work depicts - be it the "Sari" series from India, the "Unknown Woman" series where one is within oneself, the colourful "Contemplation" series, the bold "Scottish Skies" series, "Minimalistic" serene series or the monochromatic "Colour" series".
